S.I. No. 89/2011 - Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2010 (Section 25) (Commencement) Order 2011.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

"Iris Oifigiúil" of 4th March, 2011.

I, ÉAMON Ó CUÍV, Minister for Social Protection, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (4) of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2010 (No. 28 of 2010), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2010 (Section 25) (Commencement) Order 2011.

2. The 27th day of April 2011 is appointed as the day on which section 25 of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2010 (No. 28 of 2010) comes into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

This Order provides for the commencement of Section 25 of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2010 , with effect from the 27th of April 2011.

Section 25 provides for changes in the conditions for entitlement to the One Parent Family Payment which restrict this payment to lone parents who have children aged under 14 years.
