Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

"Iris Oifigiúil" of 28th October, 2011.

I, ALAN SHATTER, Minister for Justice and Equality, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (10) of the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2011 (No. 23 of 2011), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2011 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2011.

2. The 1st day of November 2011 is appointed as the day on which sections 49 to 55 of the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2011 shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

This Order appoints 1 November, 2011 as the date on which the provisions of Sections 49 to 55 of the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2011 come into operation. Sections 49 to 55 provide for the transfer of responsibility for administration of the Family Mediation Service to the Legal Aid Board; the necessary amendments of the Family Support Agency Act 2001 and the Civil Legal Aid Act 1995 and the transfer of staff and property of the Family Mediation Service to the Legal Aid Board.
