The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (1) section 6 of the Public Service Management (Recruitment and Appointments) Act 2004 (No. 33 of 2004) and, for the purposes of paragraph (b) of that subsection, after consulting with the Commission for Public Service Appointments and the Minister for Justice and Equality, hereby order as follows: | ||
Citation and commencement | ||
1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Public Service Management (Recruitment and Appointments) Act 2004 (Extension of application to the Policing Authority) Order 2016. | ||
(2) This Order comes into operation on the 5th day of May 2016. | ||
Application | ||
2. To the extent that the recruitment and appointment provisions of the Public Service Management (Recruitment and Appointments) Act 2004 (No. 33 of 2004) do not apply in respect of the Policing Authority, that Act applies in respect of positions or class of positions within that Authority. | ||
