S.I. No. 664/2016 - International Protection Act (Permission to Remain) Regulations 2016.


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 6th January, 2017.

I, FRANCES FITZGERALD, Minister for Justice and Equality, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 and section 49 (10) of the International Protection Act 2015 (No. 66 of 2015), hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the International Protection Act (Permission to Remain) Regulations 2016.

(2) These Regulations come into operation on 31 December 2016.

2. A period of 5 days following the receipt by an applicant of a decision of the Tribunal under section 46(6) of the International Protection Act 2015 (No. 66 of 2015) is prescribed for the purposes of section 49(9) of that Act.

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation)

These Regulations set out the time period for the provision of information following receipt by an applicant of a decision of the International Protection Appeals Tribunal for the purposes of Section 49 (9) of the International Protection Act 2015 .
