I, MICHAEL CREED, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 23 (3) of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act 1997 (No. 23 of 1997) and the Sea-Fisheries, Foreshore and Dumping at Sea (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2007 ( S.I. No. 707 of 2007 ) (as adapted by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 455 of 2011 )), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Fisheries (Amendment) Act 1997 (Prescribed Organisations for the Aquaculture Licences Appeals Board) Regulations 2017.

2. The organisations specified in the Schedule to these Regulations are prescribed for the purposes of section 23 (3) of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1997 (No. 23 of 1997).

3. The Fisheries (Amendment) Act 1997 (Prescribed Organisations for the Aquaculture Licences Appeals Board) Regulations 2011 ( S.I. No. 621 of 2011 ) is revoked.

These Regulations prescribe certain organisations for the purpose of enabling them to nominate persons from whom the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine may appoint 6 ordinary members of the Aquaculture Licences Appeals Board under Section 23 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act 1997 .
