I, PASCHAL DONOHOE, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving further effect to Council Regulation (EU) 2019/985 of 17 June 20191 , hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Restrictive Measures concerning the Republic of Maldives) (Revocation) Regulations 2019. | ||
2. The following are revoked: | ||
(a) European Union (Restrictive Measures concerning the Maldives) Regulations 2018 (S.I. No. 337 of 2018). | ||

These Regulations give effect to Council Regulation (EU) No. 2019/985 of 17 June 2019, repealing Regulation (EU) No. 2018/1001 concerning certain restrictive measures in respect of the Republic of Maldives, by revoking the European Union (Restrictive Measures concerning the Maldives) Regulations 2018 (S.I. No. 337 of 2018). | ||
