Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||

I, SHANE ROSS, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 and sections 47 and 51 (as amended by the European Union (Roads Act 1993) (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 (S.I. No 279 of 2019)) of the Roads Act 1993 (No. 14 of 1993), hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Roads (Schemes) (Forms) (Amendment) Regulations 2019. | ||
2. The Roads (Schemes) (Forms) Regulations 2008 ( S.I. No. 49 of 2008 ) are amended - | ||
(a) by the substitution of “environmental impact assessment report” for “environmental impact statement” in each place that it occurs, | ||
(b) in Schedule 4, by the deletion of “(as amended by section 9(1)(e) of the Roads Act 2007 )”, and “(as amended by section 51(3)(a) of the Planning and Development (Strategic Infrastructure) Act 2006 )”, | ||
(c) by the deletion of “(as amended by section 9(1)(e)(i) of the Roads Act 2007 )” in each place that it occurs, | ||
(d) by the deletion of “(as amended by section 9(1)(d) of the Roads Act 2007 )” in each place that it occurs, | ||
(e) by the deletion of “(as amended by section 51(3)(c) of the Planning and Development (Strategic Infrastructure) Act 2006 )” in each place that it occurs, | ||
(f) in Schedule 5, by the deletion of “(as amended by section 51(3)(e) of the Planning and Development (Strategic Infrastructure) Act 2006 )”, and | ||
(g) in Schedule 6, by the deletion of “(as amended by section 215 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 )”. | ||

These Regulations set out the amendments to the Roads (Schemes) (Forms) Regulations 2008 ( S.I. No. 49 of 2008 ) as a result of the European Union (Roads Act 1993) (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 (S.I. No. 279 of 2019), which transpose Directive 2014/52/EU on the assessment of the effects of certain public and private projects on the environment. |
