I, EOGHAN MURPHY, Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (5) of section 24A (inserted by the Planning and Development (Housing) and Residential Tenancies Act 2016 (No. 17 of 2016)) of the Residential Tenancies Act 2004 (No. 27 of 2004), and consequent on having duly received from the Director of the Residential Tenancies Board, pursuant to that subsection, a rent zone report confirming that the criteria in subsection (4) of that section are satisfied in respect of the area to which the following Order relates, hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Rent Pressure Zone (Local Electoral Area of Mullingar) Order 2020. | ||
2. The Order comes into operation on 22 April 2020. | ||
3. The area consisting of the Local Electoral Area of Mullingar (as provided for by the County of Westmeath Local Electoral Areas and Municipal Districts Order 2018 ( S.I. No. 636 of 2018 )) is prescribed as a rent pressure zone during the period commencing on 22 April 2020 and ending on 31 December 2021. | ||

This Order provides for the designation of the Local Electoral Area of Mullingar as a rent pressure zone under section 24A of the Residential Tenancies Act 2004 (as inserted by section 36 of the Planning and Development (Housing) and Residential Tenancies Act 2016 ), for the period commencing on 22 April 2020 and ending on 31 December 2021. |
