Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||

I, LEO VARADKAR, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 (1)(c) of the Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (Consequential Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 23 of 2020), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (Consequential Provisions) Act 2020 (Part 4) (Commencement) Order 2021. | ||
2. The 15th day of March 2021 is appointed as the day on which Part 4 of the Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (Consequential Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 23 of 2020) shall come into operation. | ||

Part 4 of the Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (Consequential Provisions) Act 2020 provides for miscellaneous amendments to the Companies Act 2014 to facilitate the operation of a substitute securities settlement system, compatible with the law of the European Union. |
