S.I. No. 87/2023 - Institutional Burials Act 2022 (Establishment of Office of Director of Authorised Intervention, Tuam) Order 2023


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 24th March, 2023.

I, RODERIC O’GORMAN Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 9 (1) of the Institutional Burials Act 2022 (No. 18 of 2022), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Institutional Burials Act 2022 (Establishment of Office of Director of Authorised Intervention, Tuam) Order 2023.

2. (a) The 20th day of March 2023 is appointed as the day on which an Office of Director of Authorised Intervention shall stand established.

(b) The Office of Director of Authorised Intervention established under paragraph (a) shall continue in operation for a period of 30 months from the date that Office stands established under that paragraph.

(c) The Director shall be called and known as the Director of Authorised Intervention, Tuam.
