THE INDUSTRIAL TRIBUNALS
CASE REF: 157/15
CLAIMANT: Michael Anthony Mortimer
RESPONDENT: IRS Recycling Services Ltd (In Liquidation)
REMEDIES DECISION
The claimant is not entitled to any compensation in respect of the failure of the respondent to provide him with due notice of the termination of his employment.
Constitution of Tribunal:
Employment Judge (sitting alone): Employment Judge Buggy
Appearances:
The claimant was not present or represented.
The respondent was not represented.
REASONS
1. By the time of this hearing, the claimant's notice pay claim was the only claim in these proceedings which had not already been fully adjudicated upon. The notice pay claim had however already been the subject of a default judgement (on liability only). This was a remedies hearing in respect of that notice pay claim.
2. I announced my decision at the end of the hearing. At the same time, I gave brief oral reasons for that decision.
