    DECISION (REDUNDANCY PAY)

The claimant’s redundancy pay claim against the first named respondent

(“the Company”) is well-founded and it is declared that the Company is liable to make a redundancy payment of £7,146 to the claimant.

    CASE REF: 1644/16

    REASONS

    1. I announced my decision at the end of the hearing.  At the same time, I gave brief oral reasons for that decision.

    1. This Decision is based on the following information:

    Gross weekly pay: £ 397

    Net weekly pay: £ n/a

Number of actual completed years of service: 12

Age on date of dismissal: 62

    Multiplier (for redundancy pay): 18

    1. I am satisfied that it is just and equitable that the claimant should receive a redundancy payment.

    1. The claimant’s other claims (his other claims against the Company and his appeal against the respondent Department’s decisions) will be the subject of a separate hearing in due course, if the claimant asks for such a hearing.

    1. This is a relevant decision for the purposes of the Industrial Tribunals (Interest) Order (Northern Ireland) 1990.

Date and place of hearing: 26 August 2016, Belfast
