JUDGMENT

 

The unanimous judgment of the tribunal, delivered in an oral decision with reasons at the end of the hearing, was as follows:-

 

(1)          That the claimant’s claim for redundancy payment is well-founded against the respondent. 

 

(2)          That the claimant’s claim for holiday pay outstanding, at the termination of his employment, is well-founded against the respondent.

 

(3)          That the claimant’s claim for arrears of pay outstanding, at the termination of his employment, is well-founded against the respondent.

 

(4)          That the claimant’s claim for notice pay outstanding, at the termination of his employment, is well-founded against the respondent.

 

(5)          That the respondent is hereby ordered to pay the claimant the total sum of £11,734.52 in respect of all claims.

APPEARANCES:

 

The claimant was self-represented.

 

The respondent did not attend.

 

 

1.         An oral judgment, with reasons, was given at the end of the hearing.

 

2.         The tribunal found, for reasons which were delivered orally at the conclusion of the hearing, that the claimant’s claim for redundancy payment was well-founded against the respondent. 

 

3.         The tribunal also found that the claimant’s claim for payment of annual leave outstanding, arrears of pay and notice pay outstanding, at the termination of his employment, was well-founded against the respondent. 

 

4.         The tribunal concluded that the claimant is entitled to a redundancy payment of £6,573.28.

 

5.         The tribunal also concluded that the claimant is owed the sum of £486.91 for five days’ outstanding annual leave.

 

6.         The tribunal further concluded that the claimant is owed a sum of £292.14 in respect of arrears of pay.

 

7.         Finally, the tribunal concluded that the claimant is owed an amount of £4,382.19 in respect of notice pay.

 

8.         The respondent is therefore ordered to pay the claimant the total amount of £11,734.52.

 

9.         This is a relevant decision for the purposes of the Industrial Tribunals (Interest) Order (Northern Ireland) 1990.
