Protection of infants awaiting adoption. 12. Where notice of intention to apply for an adoption order in respect of an infant is served in accordance with section 3 and immediately before the service of that notice any of the provisions of Part I of the Children and Young Persons Act (Northern Ireland) [1968] applied in respect of the infant, those provisions shall continue to apply until the making of an adoption order or until those provisions cease to apply by virtue of [section 10] of the said Act of [1968].
