AMENITY LANDS ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1965 - SECT 12 

Advice and consultations on nature reserves.

12.(1) The Nature Reserves Committee shall advise the Ministry on the
establishment and management of nature reserves.

(2) Where any land proposed for establishment as a nature reserve lies wholly
or partly within the area of a [district council], the Ministry shall consult
that [district council] before

(a)acquiring the land under section 1; or

(b)entering into any agreement or covenant under section 2 [or 2A] in relation
to that land.
