MAGISTRATES' COURTS ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1964 - SECT 142

Saving for existing right of and restrictions upon appeals.

142.(1) A person committed to prison or upon whom a fine is imposed under
section 161 may appeal to the county court.

(2) Nothing in this Part shall affect [section 44 of the Judicature (Northern
Ireland) Act 1978] in so far as it confers a right of appeal to the Court of
Appeal from an order under section 114(3).
