Attempted pawning in suspicious circumstances, etc. 27. Any person who (a)offers to a pawnbroker anything by way of pawn being unable or refusing to give a satisfactory account of the means by which that thing came into his posession; (b)wilfully gives false information to a pawnbroker about the ownership of anything offered by him by way of pawn to the pawnbroker, or about his name and address, or the name and address of the owner of that thing; or (c)not being entitled, or not having any bona fide claim of right, to redeem a pledge, redeems or attempts to redeem or procures any other person to redeem or attempt to redeem such pledge; Duty of pawnbroker on offer of pledge, etc., in suspicious circumstances.
