SAFEGUARDING OF EMPLOYMENT ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1947 - SECT 9 

Interpretation.

9.(1) In this Act the following expressions shall, unless the contrary
intention appears, have the meanings hereby respectively assigned to them,
that is to say:

"contract of service or apprenticeship" includes any such contract wherever
made, whether expressed or implied, oral or in writing and whether made before
or after the date of the passing of this Act:

"Ministry" means the Ministry of Labour and National Insurance.
