Exclusion of certain holdings. 8.This Act shall not apply to any holding let to the tenant during his continuance in any office, appointment, or employment, or for the temporary convenience, or to meet a temporary necessity, either of the landlord or tenant, provided that any such letting made after the passing of this Act shall be by contract in writing which shall express the purpose for which such letting is made.
