WATER AND SEWERAGE SERVICES (NORTHERN IRELAND) ORDER 1973 - SECT 34



34.(1) If any person commits an act whereby any water belonging to the
Ministry or which the Ministry is authorised to take, is polluted, he shall be
guilty of an offence.

(2) Where a person is charged with an offence under this Article, it shall be
a defence to prove that he exercised all reasonable care to prevent the act
whereby the water in question was polluted.

(3) A person guilty of an offence under paragraph (1) shall be liable on
summary conviction to a fine not exceeding #400 and to a further fine not
exceeding #40 for every day during which the offence is continued after
conviction or, on conviction on indictment, to a fine.
