WATER AND SEWERAGE SERVICES (NORTHERN IRELAND) ORDER 1973 - SECT 18



18.(1) Where, whether before or after 1st October 1973, any service pipe or
drain from any premises has been or is lawfully connected with a main or
sewer, or any sewage disposal works, vested in the Ministry or any predecessor
in title of it, the owner or occupier of the premises may take a sufficient
supply of water for his domestic purposes from that main or may drain domestic
sewage and surface water from his premises into the sewer or works.

(2) Nothing in this Article shall authorise the owner or occupier of any
premises

(a)to discharge domestic sewage into a sewer reserved for the conveyance of
surface water; or

(b)to discharge, without the approval of the Ministry, surface water into a
sewer reserved for the conveyance of domestic sewage.
