Coming into operation

1.–(1) This Order may be cited as the Fair Employment (Specification of Public Authorities) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2008 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2009.
(2) In this Order "the principal Order" means the Fair Employment (Specification of Public Authorities) Order (Northern Ireland) 2004(4).
2.–(1) In Part I of the Schedule to the principal Order, after the reference to "Coleraine Harbour Commissioners" insert "The Commission for Victims and Survivors for Northern Ireland"(5).
(2) In Part II of the Schedule to the principal Order delete "The Meat and Livestock Commission"(6).

This Order amends the Fair Employment (Specification of Public Authorities) Order (Northern Ireland) 2004 ("the 2004 Order") which specifies a number of persons or bodies as public authorities for certain purposes under Part VII of the Fair Employment and Treatment (Northern Ireland) Order 1998 ("the 1998 Order").
The Schedule to the 2004 Order lists in Part I the bodies who are public authorities for the purposes of Articles 52 to 65 of the 1998 Order and in Part II the bodies who are public authorities for the purposes of Articles 62 to 65 of the 1998 Order.
Article 2 of this Order adds the Commission for Victims and Survivors for Northern Ireland to Part I of the Schedule to the 2004 Order and deletes the Meat and Livestock Commission from Part II of the Schedule to the 2004 Order.
