Coming into operation
10th May 2021
1. This Order may be cited as the Mental Health (1986 Order) (Amendment No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2021 and shall come into operation on 10th May 2021.
2. In Article 64(1)(b)( 3), for “six months” substitute “three months”.

This Order varies the length of the period which must elapse for a second opinion to be required for the continued administration of medicine to detained patients from six months to three months.
