Ane beand chargit to find lawborrowis to ony community or multitude of pepill, of greit nombre, he may raise our soverane Lord's letteris, and charge all and sindrie the said persounis, be opin proclamatioun at the mercat-cross of the schirefdome, or burgh, to compeir at ane certane day before the Lordis, to heir and see the said sovertie fund: And gif the said day they compeir not, they sall not be heard efterwart to seik ony farder lawborrowis personallie, for thame awin selfis, fra him at whase instance thay ware summoundit.
