v.

Jackson

No. 185

Court of Session

2d Division

May. 26 1838

Lord Jeffrey.

——Ferrier,     Pursuer.— Counsel:
G. G. Bell.
——Jackson,     Defender.— Counsel:
Milne.

Subject_Writ—Erasure—Summons.— Headnote:

Held unanimously, on a verbal report by the Lord Ordinary, that the figure 8 of the year of grace 1838, annexed to the date of a summons, being written on an erasure does not vitiate the summons, the year of the Queen's reign being correctly given.

Solicitors: J. Leishman, W.S.—Agents.
