The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 32(2) of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Scotland) Act 2000[1], hereby make the following Order: Citation and interpretation 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Scotland) Act 2000 (Commencement) Order 2000. (2) In this Order, "the Act" means the Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Scotland) Act 2000. Appointed day 2. 29th September 2000 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the Act.
