The Stevenson College (Change of Name) (Scotland) Order 2003

  Made 30th May 2003 
  Laid before the Scottish Parliament 6th June 2003 
  Coming into force 1st August 2003 

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(4) of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, having undertaken such consultation as appeared to them to be appropriate, hereby make the following Order:

Citation and commencement
     1. This Order may be cited as the Stevenson College (Change of Name) (Scotland) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 1st August 2003.

Change of name of Stevenson College
    
2. The name of Stevenson College is changed to Stevenson College Edinburgh, and the name of the board of management of that college is changed to the Board of Management of Stevenson College Edinburgh.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order changes the name of Stevenson College to Stevenson College Edinburgh. That college is under the control of a board of management in terms of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992 and the Order therefore also changes the name of the board of management to reflect the new name of the College.
