The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 32(3) and (4)(b) of the Certification of Death (Scotland) Act 2011(1).
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Certification of Death (Scotland) Act 2011 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2015 and comes into force on 25th March 2015.
(2) In this Order, "the Act" means the Certification of Death (Scotland) Act 2011.
2. The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Act specified in column 1 of the Schedule (the subject matter of which is described in column 2 of the Schedule) is 25th March 2015, but only for the purposes specified in column 3 of the Schedule.
3. The day appointed for the coming into force of the Act, insofar as not already in force, is 13th May 2015.

This Order brings into force on 25th March 2015 sections 4(8), 18(4), 19(4), 24(3) and 25 of the Certification of Death (Scotland) Act 2011 ("the Act"), for the limited purpose of enabling regulations to be made. To the extent that it is not already in force, the Act is brought into force for all purposes on 13th May 2015.

The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 20th April 2011. Sections 28, 29 and 32 came into force the following day. The provisions of the Act commenced by earlier commencement order are detailed in the table below.
