5 July 2005, Local government (District council)
The complainant requested a copy of an approved drawing of a street plan and alleged that the Council wrongly stated that the information specified in their request was not held. The drawing did come into the Council's possession and was subsequently provided to the complainant. The ICO is however satisfied with the Council's assurances that it did not hold the information at the time of its response to the initial request. The complainant lodged an appeal with the Tribunal, which was subsequently dismissed. The Information Tribunal has ruled on this decision and has dismissed this appeal.
