BAILII is celebrating 24 years of free online access to the law! Would you consider making a contribution?
No donation is too small. If every visitor before 31 December gives just £1, it will have a significant impact on BAILII's ability to continue providing free access to the law.
Thank you very much for your support!

Summary: The complainant requested copies of bank statements and cheques from the Council in relation to a particular charity. The Council has not provided a clear response to the request, despite the intervention of the Commissioner. The Commissioner therefore reminds the Council of its obligations under the Act and requires it to respond to the complainant confirming or denying whether information is held. If information is held the Council should either disclose the information to the complainant or issue a valid refusal notice under section 17 of the Act.
Section of Act/EIR & Finding: FOI 1 - Complaint Upheld, FOI 10 - Complaint Upheld
