Summary: The complainant requested information relating to the National Identity Scheme Independent Scheme Assurance Panel. The Home Office refused the request citing the exemptions in sections 12 (cost of compliance exceeds appropriate limit), 22 (information intended for future publication) and 35 of the Act (formulation of government policy). The Commissioner has investigated with respect to the information withheld by virtue of section 35 and concluded that the exemption is not engaged. Therefore the Commissioner requires the Home Office to disclose that information to the complainant.
