Summary: The complainant has requested information about the internal disciplinary hearing of a member of academic staff at the London School of Economics and Political Science (the -LSE-). The LSE disclosed some information, but withheld the remaining information under the third party personal information exemption [sections 40(2) and 40(3)(a)(i)]. The Commissioner-s decision is that the LSE has correctly relied upon sections 40(2) and 40(3)(a)(i) to withhold most of the outstanding information. However, in relation to one of the requests the Commissioner considers that this exemption does not apply.
