Summary: The complainant requested information relating to the Papal visit in 2010. The Cabinet Office provided some information but withheld the remainder on the basis that it was exempt from disclosure by virtue of section 27 (international relations) and section 35 (formulation of government policy). The Commissioner-™s decision is that the Cabinet Office correctly applied sections 27 and 35 to the withheld information. He requires no steps to be taken. This decision notice is currently under appeal to the Information Tribunal.
