Summary: The complainant submitted seven separate requests for information to the Ministry of Defence (the -˜MOD-™) during August and September 2012. No substantive responses have been provided in relation to any of the seven requests. The Information Commissioner-™s decision is that the MOD did not deal with the requests for information in accordance with FOIA. It breached section 10(1) of FOIA by failing to provide responses to each of the seven requests within the statutory timeframe of 20 working days. The Information Commissioner requires the public authority to confirm or deny whether the requested information is held in respect of each of the seven requests detailed in this notice, to comply with section 1(1)(a) and if information is held in respect of each of the requests, to issue a response.
