Summary: The complainant has requested information from Queen-s University, Belfast (-the University-) relating to an application to Queen-s Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) for the recognition of a law degree. The University disclosed information in relation to part 2 of the complainant-s request, stated that it did not hold information in relation to parts 5 and 6 of the request, and stated that parts 1, 3 and 4 were not valid requests under FOIA. The Commissioner-s decision is that the University has incorrectly declared parts 1, 3 and 4 not to be valid requests under section 8 of FOIA. However, the Commissioner is satisfied, on the balance of probabilities, that the University holds no further information within the scope of the complainant-s request that it has not already disclosed to the complainant. The Commissioner therefore orders no steps to be taken.
