Summary: The complainant has requested information from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) relating to the inspection of Meat Plants. DARD disclosed information in relation to parts 2 and 3 of the complainant-™s request, however it refused to disclose the information requested in part 1 of that request, citing section 43(2) of FOIA as a basis for non-disclosure. The Commissioner-™s view is that section 43(2) has been correctly applied in this case and therefore he orders no steps to be taken.
