10 March 2016, Central government
The complainant made a request to the Department of Health (DoH) for information relating to financial figures on the role of technology in driving efficiency savings in the NHS, as discussed at the National Information Board meeting on June 17, 2015. The DoH refused to provide the information it held within the scope of the request under section 35(1)(a) FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the DoH has correctly applied section 35(1)(a) FOIA in this case. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken.
