Canal and River Trust

The complainant requested from the Canal & River Trust (“CRT”) information regarding the running of commercial and not-for-profit business ventures in Birmingham. CRT withheld the requested information informing the complainant that the request was outside the scope of its obligations under the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the information requested in this case does not fall within the definition of information to which CRT has obligations under the FOIA. The Commissioner does not require CRT to take any remedial steps.

FOI 1: Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: IC-64570
