Nottinghamshire County Council

The complainant submitted a multipart request to Nottinghamshire County Council (the Council) seeking information about reports made under the ‘Lorry Watch’ scheme. The Council provided information falling within the scope of the request but explained that it was seeking to withhold some information on the basis of sections 24(1) (national security) and 40(2) (personal data) of FOIA. The information in question explained why reports made under the scheme were not fully processed for certain periods of time. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Council is entitled to apply these exemptions in the manner in which it has.

FOI 24: Complaint not upheld FOI 40(2): Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: 189617
