Home Office

The complainant requested information relating to Emergency Travel Document applications for Somalia between 2019 to 2021. The Home Office refused to provide the requested information, citing sections 27(1)(a) (International relations) and 31(1)(e) (Law enforcement) of FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Home Office is entitled to rely on section 27(1)(a) and that the balance of the public interest favours maintaining the exemption. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken as a result of this decision.

FOI 27: Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: 219611
