Financial Conduct Authority

The complainant has requested information about investigations carried out into a particular bank. The above public authority relied on sections 44 (prohibitions on disclosure) and 31 (law enforcement) of FOIA to refuse to confirm or deny that the information was held. The Commissioner’s decision is that the public authority was entitled to rely on section 44 of FOIA to refuse to confirm or deny whether it held information within the scope of the request.
