Police Service of Northern Ireland

The complainant has requested a copy of a weapon’s destruction order from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (“PSNI”). PSNI refused to disclose the requested document citing section 30(1) (Investigations and proceedings) of FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that section 30(1) is properly engaged and that the public interest favours maintaining the exemption. The Commissioner does not require further steps.

FOI 31(1): Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: 263983
