The complainant has requested information relating to a personal data breach (PDB) investigation. The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) provided some information within scope of the request but refused to provide the remaining information citing section 44(1)(a) FOIA (prohibitions on disclosure). The Commissioner’s decision is that the ICO is entitled to rely section 44(1)(a) to withhold the requested information. The Commissioner does not require further steps.
