Summary
In the decision of 15 May 2002 the Hearing Officer had made a number of rulings on what the order concerning entitlement to PCT/US99/06438 should contain and was only able to finalise the order when he had received further submissions from the parties. Once the submissions, which covered responsibility for future prosecution, handling of prosecution costs, dispute settlement mechanisms, and the impact of infringement or revocation and the non-payment of renewal fees, were received the Hearing Officer was able to finalise the order and determine the issue of costs in a Final Decision and Order.
