Whereas a draft of this Order has been laid before Parliament in accordance with section 10(1) of the International Organisations Act 1968 (hereinafter referred to as the Act) and has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament:
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by sections 1 and 10(3) of the Act or otherwise in Her Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:-
1. This Order may be cited as the International Organisations (Immunities and Privileges) Miscellaneous Provisions Order 1980 and shall come into operation on 18th August 1980.
2. The Orders mentioned in the Schedule to this Order shall have effect subject to the amendments specified in that Schedule.

The European Communities (Privileges of the Joint European Torus) Order 1978 | In paragraph 1 of the Schedule, the word "customs" shall be deleted. |
The European Patent Organisation (Immunities and Privileges) Order 1978 | In Article 7, the word "customs" shall be deleted. In Article 9, for the words "customs duties" there shall be substituted the words "duties (whether of customs or excise)". In Article 11, for the words from "customs duty" to "Act 1971)" there shall be substituted the words "duty (whether of customs or excise) paid on imported hydrocarbon oil (within the meaning of the Hydrocarbon Oil Duties Act 1979) or value added tax paid on the importation of such oil". In Article 14(1)(a), the word "customs" shall be deleted. In Article 15(c), the word "customs" shall be deleted. |
The European Space Agency (Immunities and Privileges) Order 1978 | In Article 8, the word "customs" shall be deleted. In Article 10, for the words "customs duties" there shall be substituted the words "duties (whether of customs or excise)". In Article 12, for the words from "customs duty" to "Act 1971)" there shall be substituted the words "duty (whether of customs or excise) paid on imported hydrocarbon oil (within the meaning of the Hydrocarbon Oil Duties Act 1979 ) or value added tax paid on the importation of such oil". This Order makes amendments to the Orders mentioned in the Schedule thereto consequential upon the changes in terminology for duties of customs and excise introduced by the Finance (No. 2) Act 1975 (c. 2) and the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979 (c. 45).
