The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the power conferred on them by section 5(2) of the Bees Act 1980, hereby make the following order:-
1. This order may be cited as the Bees Act 1980 (Commencement) Order 1980.
2. The Bees Act 1980 shall come into force on 10th June 1980.
In Witness whereof the Official Seal of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is hereunto affixed on 5th June 1980.

This Order brings into force in Great Britain the Bees Act 1980. The Act repeals and replaces section 11 of the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1941 and section 10 of the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1954 and makes new provision for controlling pests and diseases affecting bees.
