The Secretary of State for Social Services, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 32(1) of the Social Security Act 1985, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following order:-
1. This order may be cited as the Social Security Act 1985 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1985.
2. The day appointed for the coming into force of each provision of the Social Security Act 1985 which is specified in column (1) of the Schedule to this order is the day specified in relation to that provision in column (3) of that Schedule.

This Order brings into operation, on various dates in 1985 and 1986, all those provisions of the Social Security Act 1985 which are not brought into operation either by section 32 of the Act itself or by the Social Security Act 1985 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1985 (S.I. 1985/1125), except the provisions relating to the registration of occupational pension schemes.
