The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 9(2) of the Consumer Arbitration Agreements Act 1988(1), hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Consumer Arbitration Agreements Act 1988 (Appointed Day No. 1) Order 1988.
2. The appointed day for sections 1 to 5 of the Consumer Arbitration Agreements Act 1988 is 1st October 1988.
