The Secretary of State for the Environment, as respects England, and the Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 81A and 84 of the Rent Act 1977(1), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Rent Act 1977 (Forms etc.) (Amendment) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 15th January 1989.
2. In Schedule 1 to the Rent Act 1977 (Forms etc.) Regulations 1980(2) omit the second sentence from the first paragraph of form No. 15.

These Regulations make an amendment to form No. 15 (application for cancellation of a rent registered by a rent tribunal where the dwelling is not subject to a restricted contract) in the Rent Act 1977 (Forms etc.) Regulations 1980, consequential on provisions in the Housing Act 1988 (c. 50).
1977 c. 42; section 81A was inserted by the Housing Act 1980 (c. 51), section 71(1).
S.I. 1980/1697, to which there are amendments not relevant to these Regulations.
