(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Local Government Superannuation (Scotland) Regulations 1987 (S.I. 1987/1850) to correct an error in the provisions for calculation of death gratuity. The error was introduced by the Local Government Superannuation (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1990 (S.I. 1990/422) which came into force on 1st April 1990.
The amendment does not affect death gratuities payable in respect of persons who have ceased to serve or died before the amending regulations come into force.
